One of the most popular species in the hobby today, the Brazilian Black does not disappoint when it comes to collectors from beginner to expert level! This gentle species gets a dark velvet black coat as an adult and an grow in excess of 6" to give a large and impressive animal! 

If you are looking for a jet black docile tarantula this species does not dissapoint! 

There are now vendors in the USA labelling another jet black tarantula and calling it "Grammostola quirogai (Uraguan Black Beauty)". There is a good chance that these are the same as what has been sold in the hobby as Grammostola pulchra. 

These are two distinct species, with different descriptions so it will be interesting to see what this species ends up being classified as!

When such scientific paper is published we will happily change the name otherwise we will keep labelling this species as what the hobby knows and loves - the Famous Brailian Black
