This stunning species from South America has been super popular due to its unique coloration and reference to the Star Wars series character "Darth Maul".

This amazing arboreal heavy webber features is red on the back half of the body including the abdomen and back legs, while the front part of the body is black giving it an unreal looking coloration! 

Like other Psalmopoeus, this species will be a little fiesty and web alot, settling into tree hollows in the wild.
