Hogna maderiana (Orange-Leg Wolf Spider)

Hogna maderiana (Orange-Leg Wolf Spider) for sale

Perhaps the most stunning wolf spider species in existence, Hogna maderiana is a true pleasure to keep!

This species reaches a size of 2-2.5" and features a grey body with yellow to yellow orange legs!Ā

Wolf spiders are one of the apex predators of the invertebrate world since they use two large forward facing eyes to run after and tackle prey and they often hunt at night much like wolves (hence their name "wolf spider").Ā

Their eyes have a large surface area to help them hunt in even low light conditions, and these spiders typically do not web much unless they are creating an egg sac, due to their very active hunting lifestyle.

This species appreciates a sand & coco fiber mixture that is a bit dryer, and often will drink mist droplets, or you can provide a water dish. Of course wolf spiders will also get moisture from their prey.Ā
