This stunning dwarf from Chile features a stunning blue legs a bright orange a green carapace and a bright orange abdomen with striping on the sides, hence the name "Tigre Azul" or "Blue Tiger".
One interesting aspect of this species is its striping on the side that is both in color, but also the way the hair grows forming rows of hairs that appear spiked but also showing stripes along the sides of the abdomen.
This species contrasts to the similar species "Tigre Esmeralda" or "Emerald Tiger" with less green but more blue in coloration!
Both males and females apear to have similar coloration and both will be stunning in person.
Euathlus is renouned for its more slow movement and docile nature and it makes it even special that these small gorgeous docile tarantulas are dwarves reaching a max size of about 3"!
The Tiger species of Euathlus are simply amazing, and we already have larger specimens of the Esmeralda and Costera that are just amazing!
